Terms of Service

Hoodwide is operated by Nick Freiling, an individual doing business as Hoodwide ("we," "us"). By placing an order you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use the service.

What we do

You draw one or more areas on a map, choose which addresses to include, and upload a postcard design. We print your postcard and mail one to each address you chose, addressed to "Current Resident." We use third-party printing and mailing partners and the United States Postal Service.

Who can order

You must be at least 18 and able to enter a contract. If you order for a business or organization, you confirm you're authorized to do so.

Your design and your responsibility

You are responsible for what you mail. You confirm that you own or have permission to use everything in your design, and that your mailing is lawful and follows our Content Policy. We review every order before it mails and may decline any order for any reason. Review is a safeguard, not an endorsement, and it doesn't make us responsible for your content.

Addresses

Address lists come from public government records, which are updated on their own schedules and can be incomplete or out of date. We don't promise that every home in your area is included, that every address is current, or that every postcard is delivered. You choose the final list before ordering.

Prices, holds, and charges

Prices per postcard depend on size and quantity and are shown before you pay. Every order has a minimum. At checkout your card is authorized (held) for the estimated amount. When your order is approved we charge only for the postcards actually sent, never more than the hold. If your order isn't approved, the hold is released and you're charged nothing.

Refunds

Once an order is approved, printing begins immediately and the order is final and non-refundable. Two exceptions, both automatic: postcards our printing partner rejects are refunded, and orders we decline are never charged.

Delivery times

Postcards are mailed standard class (USPS Marketing Mail). Typical timing is 1 business day for review, up to 2 business days to print and mail, then 3-10 days for USPS delivery. These are estimates, not guarantees, and we don't control the Postal Service.

Cancellation

You can't cancel after approval, since the postcards are already being printed. Before approval, email us and we'll cancel and release the hold if we can.

If something goes wrong

If we can't complete your order, we'll tell you and you won't be charged for anything that didn't mail. Our total liability for any order is limited to the amount you paid for that order. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including lost business or lost profits. The service is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows.

You cover claims from your mailing

You agree to defend and indemnify us against any claims, damages, and costs (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your design, your mailing, or your breach of these terms.

Accounts

You don't need an account to order. If you sign in, keep your email secure; anyone with access to it can see your order history. We may suspend or close access for anyone who abuses the service.

Changes

We may update these terms. The version posted when you place an order governs that order.

Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida. Any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Duval County, Florida, and we each consent to that jurisdiction.
