This explains what we collect, why, and how long we keep it. Hoodwide is operated by Nick Freiling, an individual doing business as Hoodwide.

What we collect

Your email address, for your receipt, order updates, and signing in.
Your order: the areas you drew, the addresses you chose, your postcard size, and your artwork.
Payment details are handled by Stripe. We never see or store your card number. We keep a record of the amount and Stripe's reference for the payment.
Basic technical records, like server logs, which include IP addresses and are kept briefly for security and troubleshooting.

What we don't do

We don't sell your information. We don't use advertising or analytics trackers. The only cookie we set is the one that keeps you signed in, if you choose to sign in.

Mailing addresses

The residential addresses shown on the map come from public government records, including the U.S. Department of Transportation's National Address Database and state and county property records. They are public information, not data about you. We pass the addresses you choose to our printing and mailing partner so your postcards can be delivered. Postcards are addressed to "Current Resident," not to named individuals.

Who we share with

Only the companies that make the service work: Stripe (payments), Stannp (printing and mailing), Brevo (email), Render (hosting), and our map provider. Each gets only what it needs. We may also disclose information if the law requires it.

How long we keep things

Artwork and address lists: 90 days after your order, then automatically deleted.
Order summaries (date, area, quantity, amount) are kept as long as your account exists, and as business and tax records require.
Sign-in sessions expire after 30 days.

Your choices

Email us to see what we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. We'll respond within 30 days. Some records must be kept for tax and legal reasons. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under state privacy laws; we honor those requests regardless of where you live.

Children

Hoodwide is for adults. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

Security

We protect your information with industry-standard measures, but no system is perfectly secure. If a breach affects you, we'll notify you as required by law.
